Tokens are our network's currency. There are lots of ways to earn and use tokens, and more will be added as our network grows.
The tables below show how many tokens are credited/debited for various activities. We've also been known to give members tokens for other reasons, so keep an eye on the token tab in your Dashboard ... you may find a nice surprise there from time to time!
Earn tokens by

| Adding a Reader subscription | Reader | 1/month | Reader members earn one token a month. This allows you to decline one review invitation per quarter without having to use any earned tokens* |
| Creating your reviewer profile | Reader | 10 | This is a one-time benefit. |
| Creating an Author/Pen name profile | Author | 5 | This is a one-time benefit. |
| Publishing a book to our book directory | Author | 5 | This is a one-time benefit per book. |
| Reviewing a service provider | Author | 5 | Author members earn 5 tokens for each review of a Service Provider who worked with them on a book the author has posted to our book directory. |

| Decline to review a book you were invited to review | Reader | 3 | If your reviewer status is AVAILABLE, you should respond to a review invitation within 72 hours of notification. You may decline to review the book during this timeframe, but it will cost you a few tokens. |
| Failure to respond to a review invitation | Reader | 6 | If your reviewer status is AVAILABLE, you should respond to a review invitation within 72 hours of notification. If you do not respond during that timeframe, we withdraw the invitation and deduct tokens from your account. |
| Failure to submit a review | Reader | 10 | If you fail to submit a review you agreed to provide by the deadline plus our 3-day grace period (i.e., submit a regular review by day 31 or a rush review by day 17), we consider that failure to review. |
